Roles and Responsibility



    · Ensure associated risks both financial & operational are minimized by establishing a control framework through a combination of system / manual controls, supervisory review and adherence to documented process.


    · Effective management of all towers and ensure to provide high quality services to AA Services


    · Primary interface for strategic business units/ clients on Process Risk issues, risk and control assessment


    · Manage the review process and business partnership when acting as a Section Leader in leading reviews.


    · Review of Root Cause Analysis and Risk Assessments for key errors.


    · Constant monitoring of respective group/towers performance and re-engineering the work flows to improve quality of operational processes to sustain ever increasing business volume


    · Review and monitor performance effectively through MI.


    · Exhibits strong understanding of the corporation and regulatory policies and their business implications


    · Independent responsibility for handling assignments i.e. reviews within the section


    · Support Delivery Leader – Process Risk Review and Assurance in Reviews, Assessments, Risk Councils and RFPs


    · Extensively engage with all internal and external stakeholders and maintain relationships at Senior Management levels


    · Effective people management; prepare, empower, energize and motivate people; celebrate and publicize success, retain and nurture talent and reduce attrition rates.


    Focus on improving the team commitment by encouraging group pride, dedication, co-operation and congeniality and thereby the organizational climate.


    · Identify and groom future Managers and leaders; support HR and change initiatives of AA Services.


    · Drive cultural change in the attitudes of employees and insist spirit of ownership and commitment in them.


    · Ensure compliance with department’s assignment procedures and Client’s Service Level Agreements


    · Maintain knowledge of existing  policies and procedures.


    · Delivery to Clients within agreed budgets & Performance Contract for all processes


    · Meet regulatory and strategic compliance requirements as prescribed from time to time in the Overall Risk Analysis model for enhanced performance, lower overall risks and better management


    · Familiarize with the Roles and Responsibilities defined in GOA, Delivery Agreement, DA and procedures and ensure Self and Department/Team's adherence


    · Ensure Self and Department/Team's adherence to applicable Client Policies.




    Scope of Role: What decision is the job / role responsible for?


    · Regular interaction with Onshore counterparts (manage client queries, escalations and resolution in a timely manner)


    · Formal monthly, quarterly connect with key stakeholders


    · Effectively evaluates materiality of issues and proposes pragmatic solutions for risk and control problems


    · Proactively trains and develops others in the application of various audit and risk assessment techniques


    · Take a lead in establishment of processes and procedures to accommodate new functions “take on”.


    · Proactively manage and control the risks (attrition, business continuity, audit, operational and compliance related) associated with running a significantly large operation


    · Pro-actively manage information security & BCM risk


    · Ensure transaction processing within AA Services is carried out in line with Compliance guidelines


    · Establish the capacity plans and ensure adequate resources are made available as the per business plan


    · Manage succession planning for critical resources


    · Take decisions on performance management and process improvement activities.


    · Authorize staffing decisions.


    · Authorize communication and team building activities within the Tower.


    · Review training and development activities and initiate necessary actions.




    Essential Experience: What previous experience is required to do this job / role?


    · 10-12 years of experience preferably in retail banking operations, Capital Markets, Trade, Commercial Banking processes.


    · Experience of handling large teams including managing Tower Leaders, Team Managers and Team Leader




    · Experience of working in centralized operational units / BPO / retail banking domain


    · Experience of working along with support functions i.e., IT, HR, Finance, etc.
